• Storm Brewery

Our last and most interesting stop was Storm Brewery. This brewery not for the weak at heart, and was completely different from the first two stops. The brewery looked like it was housed in a basement, and hasn’t been cleaned in years. There was a solid crowd around the cash the entire time we were there, proving they are a local treasure but I don’t think I’ll be back.

  • Steamworks Brewery

Our second stop on the brewery tour is the beautiful new Steamworks Brewery. The brewery is huge, entering the back room everyone was shocked by the enormous space. The tasting room is stunning, the staff was friendly and everything feels very homey. The best part was the suggestion to mix the raspberry with the dark and light beer. This created new flavours and not being a dark fan, it allowed me to enjoy all the beer.

  • Bomber Brewery

For father’s day, I took my dad on his first brewery tour! The wonderful Vancouver Brewery Tours did a great job taking us around the city, and I highly recommend them. We began in East Van at Bomber Brewery, a fantastic, clean, building with great craft beer. This was a great first stop, friendly, organized and fun. The beer was explained to us and laid out beautifully, giving us an opportunity to sample and chat about the beers together. They also thought about the local element, offering free air outside the brewery for those who bike. Everything about this experience made me want to go back, and I can’t wait…

  • South Granville

I walked a long way home the other day, taking my camera through the older part of Granville. Everything is bursting with colour and when the sun shines it’s hard to stay inside. Here are a few shots from that gorgeous day!
