• South Granville

I walked a long way home the other day, taking my camera through the older part of Granville. Everything is bursting with colour and when the sun shines it’s hard to stay inside. Here are a few shots from that gorgeous day!

  • Food Photography

In celebration of my first real apartment, I have bought my first real cookbook! The Kinfolk Table  features recipes, and the stories behind them, from people across the United States. Paired with my new, adorable, salt and pepper shakers from Anthropologie, I cannot wait to begin testing out these incredible dishes and have dinner parties. I will chronicle the food here throughout the summer, hopefully they all turn out!

  • First Beach Day! Part Two

There were a lot of people at the beach soaking in the sun which lead for perfect candids. When you can see the mountains, Vancouver is incredibly beautiful. It is so nice to be in a city where you can escape into nature in less than ten minutes.

  • First Beach Day! Part One

The sun is shining and it is finally warm enough to head to the beach. I headed down to Kits beach to enjoy the warm weather and take some pictures of the incredible landscape. Here are the first batch of photos from this glorious day.

  • Summer in Vancouver

It finally feels like summer in Vancouver! The sun has arrived and to celebrate, I took a walk around the neighbourhood. Gardens are in full bloom and the trees are bright green and beautiful. Even though this is just the beginning, it is going to be a stunning summer.

  • Ripley’s Aquarium Part 1

While in Toronto, my mother and I ventured into the city to see the new Ripley’s Aquarium. It was incredible, the colours were stunning and there were fish we had never even heard of before. Although the price was a little much, we had a great time exploring.

  • Moron

The city of Moron in Cuba was my favourite stop on the Jeep tour. The decaying architecture, the bright colours and expressive people showed a side of the country we didn’t experience on our island. It would have been nicer to be in a bigger group while walking around the city in order to explore more comfortably but we did try to fit in as much as possible. I love taking street shots and doing it in a foreign country with a different way of life was incredible. Everything about this stop was wonderful and only made me want to go out more back in Vancouver.

  • Jeep Tour in Cuba

On our last day in Cuba we decided to partake in an all in one tour – dolphins, jeep tour, crocodiles and the city of Moron. We talked to two separate people about this tour and neither mentioned the crocodile conservatory, so ending up there was quite the surprise. My friend decided she needed to touch every animal on the conservatory and a few of the men felt we needed to be told what a pony, guinea pig and puppy were, it was a strange experience. We were also put with a couple from Newfoundland who bickered and fought in the tiny jeep as we sat like stubborn children in…

  • Memories Flamenco

The silence on the blog recently will now be made up for with lots of photos of my vacation! A friend and I took a trip to an all inclusive in Cuba called Memories Flamenco on the island of Cayo Coco. The ocean was turquoise, the sky was bright blue and weather was perfect – for the first few days. While the water was slightly chilled, it was nothing compared to the ocean in Vancouver, and it was appreciated as the hot sun scorched our skin. It was nice to be at an all inclusive resort, less to worry about, and we would definietly go again. We had a great…
