Limehouse Conservation Area

The trail through the Limehouse Conservation Area is gorgeous.

When we reached Limehouse we found these beautiful, humungous mushrooms on a tree on the edge of a property. I love mushrooms, and seeing how large they can grow is incredible.

We didn’t go deep into the area but there are lots of places to explore, including remnants of the of Lime industry. The Limehouse Kilns have been around since the late 1800s and are a must see when on the trail.

It was a lovely, but muggy, overcast day. Everything in the forest was bright green, popping against the dark brown ground. Limehouse is a tiny town, but is surrounded by gorgeous woodlands. This is a must see in the Halton region.
