• Abbey Road

Abbey Road is a must see for any Beatles fan in London. This attraction is not what I expected – it is just a normal street and a normal building surrounded by tons of tourists. The road is extremely busy, but the cars do stop every once in a while to let people take photos. It is amazing how much love people have for these four men. The gate outside the studio is filled with thousands of signatures, messages and images from fans. I am glad I went but I would never go back. • London!

I made it to London! The first couple days were spent wandering around the major sights with my father. London makes a huge impact immediately. We had gorgeous days, which was perfect as we spent a lot of time walking. The photos below are from our first day in London. We walked across a lot of bridges, or more specifically the London Bridge, the Tower Bridge and the Millennium Bridge many times. Though we were tired from the flight, we tried to stay awake by following the Thames on both sides. The Tower of London was gorgeous, and I have been getting mixed messages on whether to go in or not,…

  • Hungry Hollow Trail

I love having an amazing trail so close to home. When I was a kid Hungry Hollow had no bridge and was, in winter, an interesting -terrifying – car ride. Now it has a beautifully constructed trail along Silver Creek. The ravine is one of my favourite parts of Georgetown, and was a huge part of my childhood. This trail showcases some of the best parts, going from the flat creek to the hilly wooded area. You can even see the posts from the old camp. The day we went was perfect. The sun was shining, no clouds in sight but the shade afforded a relief. The only downside is…

  • Road Trip in Yellowstone National Park

We got so lost in Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is a massive protected area filled with wild animals, geysers, waterfalls, mountains, lakes and mineral pools. We only spent a couple hours looking around but you can spend weeks exploring. Within the first ten minutes of being there we ran into a herd of buffalo. They are giant, beautiful animals and my long lens made me happy I could get close shots. The mineral pools and geysers were my favourite part of the park. The colours of the pools are fascinating, and even though the sulphur smell was gross, it was gorgeous. Since we went in the spring some of the roads…

  • Historic Columbia River Highway

In early April a friend and I took a trip to Portland, Oregon. We had no real plan so my family took us to the Historic Columbia River Highway, to see the gorgeous waterfalls. The first stage of the journey was the stunning lookout at the Portland’s Women Forum of the Columbia River and the gorge. The cascading mountains along the water, even on a grey day, was breathtaking. Everything is already so green from the mild winter, and the trees lining the hills were beautiful. The second stop was the the Vista House at Crown Point. I saw the building at the first lookout and was immediately drawn to…

  • Memories Flamenco

The silence on the blog recently will now be made up for with lots of photos of my vacation! A friend and I took a trip to an all inclusive in Cuba called Memories Flamenco on the island of Cayo Coco. The ocean was turquoise, the sky was bright blue and weather was perfect – for the first few days. While the water was slightly chilled, it was nothing compared to the ocean in Vancouver, and it was appreciated as the hot sun scorched our skin. It was nice to be at an all inclusive resort, less to worry about, and we would definietly go again. We had a great…

  • Seattle Street Shots

On Wednesday, my roommate and I took the train to Seattle for the day. It was a very long but fun day in the US, and here are some street shots from the day.

  • Squamish Pt. 1

On our way back from Whistler, we were delayed seven hours in Squamish. (Unfortunately, two girls died on the Sea to Sky highway in the early morning.) Squamish is a small town surrounded by mountains. At first we found a trail along the river, where bald eagles sprinkled the tree line. As soon as I scaled the wall to the edge an eagle flew right by – it was breathtaking.
