Annie Edison, portrayed by Alison Brie, is innocent, straight laced, and uptight. But what makes Annie interesting is her backstory. While in high school she became addicted to Adderall, had a nervous breakdown and is now putting her life back together. Annie is the voice of reason in the study group. She is overly caring and always tries to make people – Jeff – do the right thing. Annie sees the best in people and as she gets older begins to see her full potential and learns how her past will help her in the future. During the first season she dresses demure and conservative. • Bay of Fundy/Wisdom Teeth

I have officially lost my wisdom…teeth. Bad joke I know but I do have two T3’s and an advil coursing through my system. This weekend I had my wisdom teeth surgery and have spent the last couple days with large cheeks, eating lots of pudding and watching Dance Moms with my mother. Before my surgery, I was invited on a spontaneous trip to St. Martins, New Brunswick. By spontaneous, I mean me and my roommate were at a bar and were asked to go at midnight Tuesday – we left at ten the next day. The Bay of Fundy is one of Canada’s wonders and has the highest tidal range in the world. It…

Hayley Williams has transformed her style from band shirts and jeans to stylized punk. Williams began her career at the young age of 14. The singer/songwriter was originally slated to become a solo pop superstar but opted to stay with her band mates, Jeremy Davis, Josh and Zac Farro, and play the music she loves. She has become a role model for young girls; she has real talent, can sing and write and does what she feels is best. Williams is unique, she stands out and her style evolution matches her, and Paramore‘s rise in the music industry. Williams was born on December 17th, 1988 in Meridian, Mississippi. Her family moved…

What if you could erase someone from your memory? Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind wrestles with this question. Joel Barish meets, and falls in love with Clementine Kruczynski, and after a horrible break up she erases every memory of him, prompting him to do the same. The problem comes when he begins to lose all the sweet moments and fights against it. The movie follows the loss of a relationship the viewer sees only as it is falling apart – literally. As his memory is erased the viewer watches as objects fly away, buildings disappear and Joel and Clementines struggle to hold on. The Oscar winning story by Charlie Kaufman, Michel…

  • ‘In Cold Blood’ Truman Capote

I did a report on ‘In Cold Blood’ by Truman Capote. There may be some spoilers but nothing too bad. It also has a quick biography on Capote as well as what I liked and disliked about his writing. Enjoy! Truman Capote began with a novel about murder and created a compelling account of two troubled men. The novel reads like a movie screenplay, the scenes are each so vivid. The novel begins with the Clutter family alive and shows how they lived their lives. Capote describes the property and town intricately. While he is showing the murder victims he is showing the beginning of the murders trip. The first section of…

  • Dislodged

Inside the cramped bathroom off the Chancellor’s suite loose tiles are falling off the wall, crashing into a pile on the floor. The culprit: water and frost that has been seeping in through the cracks in the stone. The President’s Lodge is a grand three story (four if you count the basement) house on the edge of the King’s College campus. The once beautiful home is now closed due to cracks in the foundation. Walking from room to room, the cracks get longer and the piles of destroyed wall and ceiling get bigger. “It is sad,” said Pamela Hazel, assistant to the president, Dr. Anne Leavitt, about the disrepair.…
