Ollie Taylor – Anni, Nobody Cares, These Legs of Stone
Ollie Taylor is a 23-year-old musician from London, England who currently performs with the band The October Game. Taylor records his solo music on the side and currently has three songs free to download on his Soundcloud page. Each song evokes a different feeling and shows off Taylors range vocally and musically.
‘Anni’ is a soft and sweet song. The shaker and the piano give the song a serene quality as his voice floats above. Although the song is only two minutes long it leaves you satisfied and wanting more.
‘Nobody Cares’ has a more Rolling Stones vibe with the repetitive guitar. The end was very interesting and I almost wished it came sooner. It has a very cool build up and the last minute and a half fuses everything together well.
‘These Legs of Stone’ introduces everything in sequence which gives you enough time to hear how each sounds together and apart. Taylor’s deep voice in the beginning is paired well with the overlap he provides in the chorus. This song is the most intricate and beautiful of the three and I encourage people to take a listen.
